Your Guide to Mastering Ring Muscle-Ups

Whether you’re working on building the strength to perform your first muscle-up or you’re aiming for elite-level capacity — this 5-part program will help you get there.

The Most Comprehensive Ring Muscle-Up Program Available

  • Over 60 pages of detailed content
  • 70+ video tutorials to help transform your abilities on the rings
  • step-by-step guide to mastering ring muscle-ups for the sport of fitness

Dedicate 30-40 minutes, 1-2x per week to working your weakness on the rings and we guarantee you’ll see a drastic improvement in bodyweight strength, capacity and efficiency.

All you need is access to a pair of hanging gymnastics rings, parallettes, hanging rope, horizontal bar, dumbbells and a GHD machine (optional).

The program is broken down into five parts:

Part 1: Strength Development

The first step in mastering a ring muscle-up is building the strength needed to perform one — your machine needs a motor before it can do anything.

Part 2: Skill Development

After building the strength — we work on developing the skill of pulling yourself around the rings, focusing on performing a strict muscle-up.

Part 3: Hanging and Swinging Skills

Once you get the strict muscle-up down, we work on the skills that lead to a kipping ring muscle-up (it’s getting hot in here).

Part 4: Advanced Techniques

Next, you will learn how to be more effective in competitive fitness workouts that call for ring muscle-ups and start to truly master the movement.

Part 5: Develop Elite Capacity

Finally, Part 5 is a program for you to develop elite-level capacity to sustain a high volume of muscle-up repetitions and set yourself apart as a top fitness athlete in ring work.

Athlete Success Story

I bought the Brute Strength Muscle-Up program in spring 2019 fully intending to use it. At that point, I had been following a supplemental gymnastics program that wasn’t getting me towards my goal of a ring muscle-up and it conflicted with the way my coach wanted me to learn them.

I saw the Brute Strength program and thought, “What the heck, let’s give it a shot.”

I started off at the very beginning simply building the strict strength to move on in the program. These workouts don’t look like much but they are really intense.

Eventually, I was about to get myself into a catch position but my wrists weren’t in the right position or I caught it too low and I couldn’t press out. So I kept on practicing the program.

Come April, one month later. I was working on Day 1 of the kipping muscle-up program and just had a feeling: today was the day I could muscle-up. I chalked up, approached the rings with the confidence of a champion, and began my swing. I felt myself hit proper timing and I caught it low again. “I’m not going back. I’m going up,” I thought to myself. I wiggled my shoulders through, stabilized at the bottom of the dip and I pressed out with ease.

I jumped down, ecstatic that I accomplished my goal in just 4 months! I took a deep breath and executed another rep. Two ring muscle-ups on my first day. That’s a statement.

Even though I achieved my goal, I’m hungry.

So I’ve continued working on parts of the muscle-up program to better my catch position and to refine technique. Today, just two weeks after I achieved my first two muscle-ups, my coach put them in a workout. She said it was ok to fail but I knew I had to give it my all for her. I was nervous to do a new movement-especially a high-skill movement- under fatigue but I channeled my nerves and I hit every single muscle-up in the workout without failing.

This program will set you up for success if you are willing to put in the work of perfecting technique. Thank you Brute Strength for your knowledge and assistance in helping me dominate my goals.
