Coach Chris Hinshaw
Coach Hinshaw specializes in aerobic capacity coaching and programming for CrossFit athletes, fitness enthusiasts and sports specialists. Hinshaw has successfully coached 19 CrossFit Games champions and his athletes have filled more than 26 podium spots since 2013.

Professional Athlete
Chris is a former All-American swimmer and an experienced professional triathlete with 10 Ironman finishes. His top international finishes include a 2nd place overall finish at the Hawaiian Ironman World Championships, 2nd place overall finish at the Ironman World Championships in Canada, and a 1st place overall finish at Ironman Brazil. He has been a CrossFit athlete since 2008.

CrossFit Experience
CrossFit Headquarters selected Coach Chris as their Subject Matter Expert (“SME”) in aerobic capacity. He specializes in endurance coaching for CrossFit athletes. He is a CrossFit Level 2 Trainer (CF-L2), CrossFit Competitor Course certified, Endurance Course certified, CrossFit Mobility certified, and CrossFit judge. Hinshaw is a founding partner and endurance coach at Brute Strength as well as NorCal CrossFit coach since 2012. He currently shares his coaching and endurance programming through and travels the world teaching his coaching methodology via his CrossFit Specialty Course: Aerobic Capacity.

Endurance Coach
He is the endurance coach to hundreds of athletes that range from the day-to-day fitness enthusiast looking to efficiently and effectively improve their aerobic fitness to professionals. The professionals he’s coached include surfers, Olympians and Brazilian Jiu-jitsu World Champions to more than two-dozen podium athletes and teams at the 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 CrossFit Games. The athletes include Mat Fraser, Rich Froning, Jason Khalipa, Katrin Daviosdottir, Tia Clair Toomey, Kara Webb, Camille Leblanc-Bazinet, Sara Sigmundsdottir and Julie Foucher.
